Amin Kharraz’s paper, OUTGUARD: Detecting In-Browser Covert Cryptocurrency Mining in the Wild has received the best paper award at The Web Conference 2019! Amin Kharraz is a post-doctoral student; he coauthored the paper with graduate students Zane Ma, Paul Murley, research scientist Joshua Mason, professors Andrew Miller, Nikita Borisov, and Michael Bailey, and collaborators Charles Lever and Manos Antonakakis from Georgia Tech. The joint best award was given to two papers among the 225 accepted to the conference. Amin presented the paper and received the award at the Web Conference in San Francisco last week.
